Privacy Policy

We collect your information for one reason and one reason only: to operate thoughtful in-person dating experiences. We don't sell your data, we don't show you ads, and we don't use your information for anything unrelated to Bubble.
1. What Information We Collect
When you use the Bubble iOS app or our services, we may collect the following:
- Account and application details— your name, phone number, profile, preferences, social circle, scheduling, referral source, and feedback information. If you sign up through an invited website link, we collect the verified phone number, referral relationship, consent evidence, and personal invite code. Bubble admins may privately label a signed-up number with a name from their own contacts. Contact files are parsed in the admin's browser; only names matched to existing signup numbers are uploaded.
- Phone number and text-messaging preferences — the phone number you verify on the invited website or use to sign in, plus your consent history for Signup Updates or Date Updates.
- Usage and analytics data — we collect product analytics about how people use the website and iOS app, including page views, app launches, screen views, onboarding step progress, button taps, authentication attempt outcomes, field completion status, selection counts, photo selection counts and approximate upload sizes, contacts permission status, contact hash counts, submission outcomes, errors, device and app metadata, referral source, and approximate timing information.
- Conversations with Bubble — messages you exchange with us via text, email, or another support channel.
- Feedback and date reports— your reactions and notes after dates so our team can better understand what you're looking for.
- Payment setup details — when you apply, our payment processor collects and stores your payment method so Bubble can charge the disclosed price if you later confirm availability and are selected, and process policy refunds. Bubble stores payment processor identifiers and limited display details such as card brand and last four digits; we do not store raw card numbers.
2. How We Use Your Information
This is the important part. Your information is used exclusively for:
- Confirming invited signups, maintaining referral relationships, and notifying opted-in people when applications open.
- Operating your account, application, and dating-event experience.
- Reviewing applications and coordinating invitations, matches, schedules, safety, support, and feedback.
- Measuring product performance, funnel completion, error rates, and which onboarding steps need improvement.
- Improving onboarding, matching, scheduling, and safety workflows.
Your information is never used for third-party advertising, profiling you for third parties, or any purpose unrelated to Bubble. The only messages we send you are about Bubble itself — your application and your dates.
Our analytics are designed to avoid collecting raw sensitive content wherever possible. For example, we track whether fields are completed, how many photos or interests were selected, and whether contacts permission was granted; we do not intentionally send raw names, emails, social handles, photos, contact hashes, or message contents to analytics tools.
3. What We Don't Do
- We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.
- We do not use your data for targeted advertising.
- We do not collect names, profiles, or dating applications on the public website. Phone signup appears only through an active personal invite link.
- We do not put private analytics API secrets in the public website or mobile app.
4. Analytics and Service Providers
Bubble uses Google Analytics, Firebase, Google Cloud, Telnyx, Resend, Stripe, and similar service providers to operate the service, understand usage, collect and save payment methods, process disclosed event charges and refunds, send launch and transactional messages, store data, and diagnose issues. These providers process information for Bubble under their own security and data-processing terms.
In the iOS app, analytics events may include app lifecycle events, screen views, onboarding navigation, authentication outcomes, field completion changes, selected option categories, photo counts, contacts permission status, contact hash counts, application submission attempts and results, restore attempts, and error categories. We use these events to improve onboarding, reliability, safety workflows, and launch planning.
5. Text Messaging
If you opt into signup-related texts on an invited website form, we use your number to confirm signup with your personal invite link and to send one notice when applications open. If you later opt into date-related texts in the iOS app, we may also send service messages about an active application or dating event. Both uses share Bubble's existing Telnyx messaging profile. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Message frequency and data rates are disclosed at opt-in. Reply STOP to stop all Bubble text updates or HELP for help. See our SMS program terms for full details.
We will not share your opt-in to an SMS campaign with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing you with the services of that campaign. We may share your Personal Data, including your SMS opt-in or consent status, with third parties that help us provide our messaging services, including but not limited to platform providers, phone companies, and any other vendors who assist us in the delivery of text messages.
Your mobile information will not be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes. All of the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. Service providers that help deliver Bubble text updates may process messaging data only as needed to operate the program.
6. Data Security
Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use industry-standard security practices and Google Cloud infrastructure for storage. Access to user data is restricted to people and systems that need it to operate Bubble.
7. Data Retention
We retain invite-signup, account, and application data while you use Bubble and as needed to operate the service. Historical records from earlier signup flows follow the same deletion policy. If you ask us to delete your data, we delete it within 30 days, except where we need to keep limited records for legal, safety, or abuse-prevention reasons.
8. Changes to This Policy
If we make meaningful changes, we'll let you know via text or email before they take effect. We won't silently change how we use your data.
- Your data exists to build a better dating experience
- No ads, ever
- No selling your data, ever
- The public home page does not collect signup information; active invite pages collect only the phone and consent evidence described above
- You can delete everything at any time
