1. What Information We Collect

When you join the Bubble early list, we collect the following:

• Early list info — your name, phone number, referral source, and any details you choose to provide later.
• App onboarding details — if you later join the mobile app, we may collect profile, preference, social circle, scheduling, and feedback information.
• Phone number and text-messaging preferences — the phone number you provide on the website early-list form or sign in with in the app and, if you opt in through the app, your consent to receive text updates about Bubble and your dates.
• Usage and analytics data — we collect product analytics about how people use the website and iOS app, including page views, app launches, screen views, onboarding step progress, button taps, authentication attempt outcomes, field completion status, selection counts, photo selection counts and approximate upload sizes, contacts permission status, contact hash counts, submission outcomes, errors, device and app metadata, referral source, and approximate timing information.
• Conversations with Bubble — messages you exchange with us via text, email, or another support channel.
• Feedback and date reports— your reactions and notes after dates so our team can better understand what you're looking for.
• Payment setup details — if you confirm an event, our payment processor may collect and store your payment method for the disclosed late-cancellation and no-show policy. Bubble stores payment processor identifiers and limited display details such as card brand and last four digits; we do not store raw card numbers.

2. How We Use Your Information

This is the important part. Your information is used exclusively for:

• Managing the early list.
• Understanding demand for the mobile app.
• Measuring product performance, funnel completion, error rates, and which onboarding steps need improvement.
• Preparing future onboarding, matching, scheduling, and safety workflows.

Your information is never used for third-party advertising, profiling you for third parties, or any purpose unrelated to Bubble. The only messages we send you are about Bubble itself — your application and your dates.

Our analytics are designed to avoid collecting raw sensitive content wherever possible. For example, we track whether fields are completed, how many photos or interests were selected, and whether contacts permission was granted; we do not intentionally send raw names, emails, social handles, photos, contact hashes, or message contents to analytics tools.

3. What We Don't Do

• We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties.
• We do not use your data for targeted advertising.
• We do not run a web sign-in flow for the early list.
• We do not put private analytics API secrets in the public website or mobile app.

4. Analytics and Service Providers

Bubble uses Google Analytics, Firebase, Google Cloud, Resend, Stripe, and similar service providers to operate the service, understand usage, collect and save payment methods for disclosed fees, send launch and transactional messages, store data, and diagnose issues. These providers process information for Bubble under their own security and data-processing terms.

In the iOS app, analytics events may include app lifecycle events, screen views, onboarding navigation, authentication outcomes, field completion changes, selected option categories, photo counts, contacts permission status, contact hash counts, application submission attempts and results, restore attempts, and error categories. We use these events to improve onboarding, reliability, safety workflows, and launch planning.

5. Text Messaging

If you opt into text updates in the Bubble iOS app, we use your phone number solely to send service messages from Bubble, operated by Berry Street Research Group LLC, about your Bubble dating events: application status updates, availability checks, match and event confirmations, event-detail changes, and feedback reminders. Consent is not a condition of joining. Message frequency varies. Standard message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP, or get help by replying HELP or emailing us. We will not share your opt-in to an SMS campaign with any third party for purposes unrelated to providing you with the services of that campaign. We may share your Personal Data, including your SMS opt-in or consent status, with third parties that help us provide our messaging services, including but not limited to platform providers, phone companies, and any other vendors who assist us in the delivery of text messages.

Your mobile information will not be sold or shared with third parties for promotional or marketing purposes. All of the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties. Service providers that help deliver Bubble Date Updates may process messaging data only as needed to operate the program.

6. Data Security

Your data is encrypted in transit and at rest. We use industry-standard security practices and Google Cloud infrastructure for storage. Access to user data is restricted to people and systems that need it to operate Bubble.

7. Data Retention

We retain your early list data for as long as you remain on the early list or use Bubble. If you ask us to delete your data, we delete it within 30 days, except where we need to keep limited records for legal, safety, or abuse-prevention reasons.

8. Changes to This Policy

If we make meaningful changes, we'll let you know via text or email before they take effect. We won't silently change how we use your data.
